Bundi Ladoo- Cheese Cake ( No Bake- No Egg)

Summary

I had seen this type of recipe on some TV show-not the same but similar. So tried to do something different.

This Cheese cake is very easy to make and probable is not heavy.

For base I used Marie cookies or Digestive biscuits-these are very light, sweet and dry cookies and make a great base . You can put the cookies in a thick plastic bag and use roller over it or use back of a smooth bowl to gently crus the cookies.

I used Kafir Cleese this is a kind of Yogurt -it is also called Greek Yogurt. This type of yogurt is available in Middle Eastern  Market.. The liquid is drained from yogurt by draining the liquid from regular yogurt with a fine cheese cloth.

I used Cream Cheese, Condensed Milk, and a little unflavored gelatin or Agar-Agar.

The name Motichur is from the type of Ladoos which are sweet balls- available in Indian Market and Sweet stores in India- they are also known as Bundi Ladoo.  I used these sweet Ladoos-crumbled them on top and topped it with sliced Almonds.

i used large cleart glass Baking pan. This recipe is good for 10 to 12 people-depending on the size of serving.

This can be done ahead of time- good for a couple of days.

 

    Ingredients

  • 1 container- 16 Oz of Greek Yogurt
  • 1 PKT 8 Oz. of Cream cheese-regular
  • 1 Can- I have only seen one size of Condensed Milk
  • 1 Tbsp of Clear geletin or Agar-agar
  • 1 Cup plus 3 Tablespoon of Water
  • about 4 of Motichur Laddus-
  • 1/2 Cup of sliced Amonds
  • 1/2 Pkt of Digestive Cookies
  • 2 Table spoons of Melted Butter

    Instructions

  • Mix melted butter and crushed cookins in a mixing bowl and put it in the bottom of the pan and flatten it with light pressure-you can use back of a smooth bowl

  • Heat about 1 cup of water- dissolve the agar-agar in the 3 Tablespoon of water in a cup.

  • Pour the agar-Agar mixture in the water when the water comes to boil. Turn of heat and mix well. let it stand.

  • In a large mixing bowl- m blend Yogurt, Cream cheese and Condensed milk. Add the Agar-Agar after it is cold andblen well with a hand mixer.

  • The mixture will be thick. Now pour the mixture in the pan gently over the Crushe Cookies in the Baking pan.. Cover and refrigerate till serving time.

  • Just before serving, top this Cheesecake with crubled Miotichur Ladus and slices almonds.

  • Cut and serve with a Cake spatula. ENJOY!.
